Terms of Service

Last updated 4 August 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Upcheck SSL certificate monitoring service at upcheck.so(the “Service”) operated by Upcheck (“Upcheck”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Upcheck monitors the TLS/SSL certificates of the websites you add and notifies you and your team before those certificates expire, through the channels you configure. The Service is a monitoring aid; it does not issue, renew, or manage certificates on your behalf.

2. Accounts and organizations

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account and within organizations you administer, including the actions of members you invite. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Monitor hostnames you do not own or are not authorized to monitor, or otherwise use the Service to probe systems without permission.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or related systems.
  • Use the Service to violate any applicable law or the rights of others.

4. Billing and subscriptions

  • Paid plans consist of a monthly base fee plus a per-website fee, as shown on the pricing and billing pages at the time you subscribe.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis, including usage-based charges for the websites you monitor.
  • Fees are billed in advance for the base plan and according to usage for websites, and are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We may change pricing with prior notice.

5. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free, or that any alert will be delivered. Certificate monitoring is a best-effort aid and is not a substitute for your own certificate management and renewal processes. You remain solely responsible for keeping your certificates valid.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Upcheck will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill — including any loss arising from a certificate expiring or an alert not being delivered. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim arose.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to Upcheck, its users, or third parties. On termination your right to use the Service ends, and we may delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms over time. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above, and your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
